Pancha Karma: Historically in India, men and women took part in cleansing routines and therapies that were designed to extend their lives. These extensive retreats traditionally were a minimum of one month, and focused on detoxification and rejuvenation, while addressing the person's individual needs in order to bring them into a state of balance. This process referred to as Pancha Karma was known to help regenerate tissue, bone, teeth and hair, essentially adding 30 - 40 years to ones life.

Pancha Karma is a retreat like no other: a time away from the stimulation and stresses of the world, a time to connect with nature and your own true nature, a time of cleansing and rejuvenation, and inner exploration. Obviously in our society it is unrealistic to take 30+ days off for a retreat of this magnitude. Modern-day Pancha Karmas in the U.S.A. are anywhere from 5 - 10 days. Here at Lakshmi's Garden, Panch Karma is a 7-day process designed specifically for you by Dr. Rosy Mann, an experienced Vaidya whose compassionate care has touched many hearts.

The treatments, herbs, oils and regime are chosen for your personal doshic imbalance, and the intimate setting with only 2 - 3 guests per retreat insures that you get the attention and care needed to heal your body-mind-spirit.

The retreat includes:
- private bedroom and bathroom
- consultations with the vaidya before and during your Pancha Karma
- all meals catered by our Ayurvedic chef, Adrian Bennett
- authentic Ayurvedic bodywork treatments performed with rhythmic, flowing symmetry by two therapists
- cleansing and rejuvenating bastis
- yoga and meditation
- time for silent reflection in Nature

The week will also help you get acquainted with balanced living for your dosha and with techniques for living in tune with Nature and the seasons.
